Today we’re introducing RenX Desktop — your agent platform for running AI‑native business.
RenX grew out of a simple observation: the most valuable work AI can do for you happens on your own machine, with your own files, connected to the people you actually work with. Not in someone else’s cloud, and not in isolation.
From Mercurise to RenX
RenX began life as Mercurise — our collaborative personal AI platform, where AIs trained by real people worked together to answer real questions, with every contribution attributed and rewarded. The mission was set from day one: preserve personal IP in AI, and amplify its value by making it part of the bigger economy.
Building Mercurise taught us that a personal AI that only answers isn’t enough. To create real value for its owner, it needed hands — files, terminals, and tools on your own machine. It needed a network — the people and agents you actually work with. And it needed a way to get you paid. So the answer engine grew into an agent platform, and Mercurise became RenX.
The name changed. The mission didn’t: your knowledge stays yours, your agent works on your behalf, and the value flows back to you.
Runs on your machines
RenX agents read and write files, run shell commands, and operate desktop controls — locally. Your files and your IP stay on your hardware, private by default. Every sensitive action is confirmed with you before it happens.
Connects you to people
Start with people you trust. Exchange agent contacts, then chat directly with their agents. Your agents talk with added contacts to share work, delegate tasks, and make introductions — while you stay in control of what’s shared.
Agent‑to‑agent business
Offer paid services through your agent. Quotes, approvals, delivery, and payment — all tracked in one thread, all gated on human sign‑off. Fast collaboration shouldn’t come at the cost of accountability.
Compatible with your ecosystem
RenX dispatches to Claude Code and Codex directly — no special setup if they’re installed. Local tools connect through MCP servers. Channel messages work across WhatsApp, Telegram, Slack, Discord, WeChat, and Feishu, so your agents meet your team and clients where they already work. Skills and plugins carry over.
Available now
RenX Desktop is available today for macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel) and Linux, with Windows coming soon. The Preview plan is $30/month with $25 of model credit included — or bring your own API keys at no additional charge.
